How to build a Bumblebee box

How To Build A Bumble Bee Box

Materials Needed:

Flexible tubing that is three to four feet long
Cotton
A one gallon bucket
Something to cut a tube such as pliers
A drill

STEP ONE
Find a place to put your bumblebee box. Make a hole in the ground that is four to six inches deep and put the bucket in it with the bottom of the bucket facing up.

STEP TWO
Put cotton on the bottom of the artificial habitat.  Drill the holes to put the tubes in.  They should be 1 in. in diameter.  Now, cut the tubes.  They should be 1 ½ feet long.   Do not put that much cotton in the one gallon bucket because then it will get into the tubes and clog them up so the bumblebees will not be able to get in.

STEP THREE
Take the 1 ½ feet long tubing and dig a hole so that the tubing can fit in it. Make the tubing go under and into the one gallon bucket. This is so the bees can go into the artificial habitat.

STEP FOUR
You have finished your bumblebee habitat!  Come back on a Sunday afternoon when you have nothing to do and watch your bees come to the artificial hive that you built!
